As an inhabitant of this small island in the middle of the Mediterranean with nothing but sun and sea to boast of I have always been aware of the importance of tourism. When I was a little girl my father had a small car hire business and I was always involved in running itas there were no boys in the family. Our clients used to be service personnel mostly Britiish. I always enjoyed meeting new people.

Mentoring

I feel I have to put some remarks regarding new mentees. I am speaking from my point of view. Most of my mentees are involved hands on in tourism services meaning they are providing special services for the festive season chefs, restaurant owners, animators, hotel workers, and all others that Christmas and New Year mean they have to work double while we party! I have suggested that we will continue the mentoring period in the New Year so as not to increase their burden. What do the other…
