Elective Module: Performance Optimisation in the Hospitality
Industry – Dr. Vanessa Borg
Provide TWO of the following AND PUT THEM IN YOUR FILE:
Draw up a Balance Scorecard, identifying 4 KPIs per perspective to be applied in an
organisation of your choice in the Hospitality industry. Outline why each perspective
is being measured using the 4 KPIs selected. Draft out an internal memo explaining
the rationale of implementing the Balanced Score Card within your organisation.
Draft out two SMART objectives and outline their impact of the overall business
objectives. Ask your manager for feedback on both objectives.
Outline your role as an appriasee during your next appraisal. What would you
recommend needs to be further discussed during your appraisal to ensure that you
are clear in your objectives for the year.
Suggest two performance related reward mechanisms that could be introduced
within your organisation.
