Can nature create new economy, can nature improve the quality of our lives?
Over the last few decades, we witnessed a great increase of temperature and a changing pattern of rainfall. We also see farmers have more and more difficulty to make a living in leading world market prices. Can we be part of a change?
In a shortpresentation, Censu Caruana and Jos Willemsen invite you into the world of ecology and its relationships and how we can use these basics of nature in turning the landscape greener and improve earning models for farmers as well as other citizens. How to create fringes of woods and swales along slopes to create biomass containing water and reduce temperature. How these fringes can be created by earning models in small- scaled ecotourism related to nature-farming, wellness, training and eco-lodge renting.
The presentation will be followed by an open conversation: Can we apply these principles on Gozo? You are welcome to join in.
