Hi to all the Advance Intake 1 students - Graduation
Due to the very limited response with attendance to the Graduation Celebration Party, I regretfully have to cancel the party and there will be just the Graduation Ceremony at the Radisson Golden Sands Ballroom at 18.30 hrs.

Comment by Isabella Debattista on November 22, 2011 at 11:52am
Hi all,
As one of the students for the Advance program-Intake 1, I took the initiative and inquired what was happening on Graduation Day.
There is just basically going to be the Graduation Ceremony only, at Ballroom of the Radisson Golden Sands, and no party to celebrate after. So I asked if I can organize a Celebration Party, and was told that of course I could. As we students from the Tourism Industry are in the business of entertaining our local and foreign guests, what better way to end the Graduation then to have a party.
The GRADUATION CELEBRATION PARTY - FOR ADVANCE STUDENTS is being held next Thursday, 24th November 2011 from 20.30 hrs onward, right after the Graduation Ceremony. This is completely separate to the Ceremony and is being organized solely by myself as one of the students.

Graduation Celebration Party - Advance Students- Intake 1
Venue - Coral Suite - Radisson Golden Sands
Date - 24th November 2011-Thursday
Time - 20.30 hrs - right after the Graduation Ceremony
Entertainment - Dj RON with fun/games/prizes - closing ZIGGY.
Welcome Drink - Reception
Price:-  Euro 30.00c per person

Welcome canapés

Mini pastizzi

Veg spring rolls

Mini qassatat

Pizza

Cornish pastries

Wontons

Scampi

Calamari rings

Arancini

Maltese style bridge rolls

Layered rainbow sandwiches

Fancy Cakes

Pasta station

Fusilli with porcini mushrooms and cream sauce

Ziti with beef ragout and roasted aubergines

Tickets can be bought from Island Caterers Offices in St Julians next to Radisson Bay Point- Tuesday and Wednesday 9.00hrs to 16.00hrs and Thursday 9.00hrs to noon, please ask for Christina. Or on the evening at the door of the Coral Suite-Radisson Golden Sands.
Apologies for the late notice, but hope you can make it to the Celebration party.

Since Carnival is held during Febuary it could attract a good number of tourists if well promoted. Febuary is not the peak season of tourism in Malta and we should take the opportunity to attract toursits through the promotion of the Carnival.

PLANNING MY CAREER AND/OR BUSINESS (30-Hour)

[The Business Model Canvas]

Dates:             Thursday 05 May 2011

Thursday 19 May 2011

Although we will do our utmost not to change these scheduled dates once course has started, kindly note these are subject to change

Time:               1700hrs-2000hrs

Venue:             The University Residence, Robert Mifsud Bonnici Street, Lija

AIM OF THE PROGRAMME

The nine new Business Model Canvas blocks offer a new approach towards building a Business Plan.  This model describes the reasoning of how an individual or an organisation creates, delivers, and captures value, of any kind. The process of business model design is part of a business design and plan.  It takes you along three stages:

Stage I   The Elevator Pitch

Stage II The Business Model canvas

Stage III The one page Strategic Action Plan

In theory and practice the term business model is used for a broad range of informal and formal descriptions to represent core aspects of business, including purpose, offerings, strategies, infrastructure, organisational structures, trading practices, and operational processes and policies. Hence, it gives a complete picture of an organization from high-level perspective. It can also be extrapolated on a personal level to plan your growth, career and personal development.

Many times the start of a business or a career dictates a meticulous study and a well designed path that describes the plan or an orchestrated map of the vision or the point of destination. The essence of a model is that it defines the manner by which the enterprise delivers value to customers, entices customers to pay for value, and converts those payments to profit. The Business Model Canvas is the latest technique and most avant-garde approach towards business planning.

Hi, Joe. The carnival is something to treasure, we have to keep it alive, if one thinks it is the soul and the blood of the local creativeness. Other benefits from the carnival are: 1. Keeps you warm during the winter carnival; 2. Stimulates the musicians not to forget the musical notes and also to service their instruments; 3. A decent clean-up is organized after carnival activities - maybe it has been needed anyway; 4. Reminds to the people that they can smile; 5. Erases negative thoughts for crisis or unemployment (temporary)... Correct me if I'm wrong, there are more pluses, deriving from this magnificent activity and enjoy!!!
